Chaz, growing up in a family of 12 started bowling at the age of 15 at Pla Mor Lanes. He would go down every day to to the bowling alley to practice. It got to the point he was there so much they gave him a job. His average the first year was 134, The second year it went up to 179, and the third year it went to 210. Chaz has been above 220 ever since.

Chaz calls Pla Mor Lanes his home house but loves to bowl at all the bowling alley's in the La Crosse area. Chaz's favorite bowlers to watch when growing up were: Pete Weber, Norm Duke, and the top scratch bowlers in the La Crosse area at the time. Chaz is currently a junior league coach at Pla Mor Lanes and runs most of the scratch tournaments in the La Crosse Area. This is Chaz's first year on the PBA Tour
